Gingerbread Castle

In 2024, I made a gingerbread house, complete with a vegetable garden, trees, and a car parked outside.

I wanted to take it further this year, so I made a gingerbread castle. This is my more medieval-looking take on Cake Lab's Disney Castle.

My baking technique wasn't quite as polished as theirs, and I found myself sanding down pieces for a proper fit. The lights should also have been stronger for a better effect. Worst of all, to the distress of some of my friends, I didn't include a working drawbridge - it will have to wait until next year.

I found the stained glass technique used to make the clock quite remarkable, and am now planning to make a stained glass cathedral. With some wire to separate sections, a full-color panel seems achievable.
